Soprano Adriana Gonzalez from Guatemala and tenor Xabier Anduaga from Spain have been named First Prize winners of the 2019 edition of Operalia. They receive $30,000 each.

Operalia, the annual opera competition for young stars, took place in Prague with top prizes of best male and female voice going to Xabier Anduaga and Adriana Gonzalez.

The Opera Competition has announced that its 2019 edition will be held in Prague, the Czech Republic.

The competition, known to launch the next generation of opera singers, will begin accepting applications between Nov. 15, 2018, and February 1, 2019.
